UNHCR issued this library of documents relating to internally displaced persons (IDPs) to assist particularly staff on missions and Field Offices that have only limited access to the Internet, and other designated humanitarian operators. This library allows easy access to reliable and up-to-date information related to IDP operations. The information has been collected not only from the clusters where UNHCR has the lead (Camp Coordination and Camp Management, Emergency Shelter and Protection), but also from a network of field offices, international and non-governmental organizations, academic institutions and judicial bodies in order to facilitate the work of decision-makers, analysts, human rights activists and academics.
This user-friendly information tool contains 527 full-text searchable documents totalling 21772 pages, including a comprehensive library of tools, guidelines, handbooks, manuals, terms of reference and best practices. The majority of documents are in English, but many documents are also available in French, Spanish and some other languages.
